The article reveals the Sufi meaning of the word “water” used in the Lives of Muslim Saints, or manakibs that appeared in Transoxiana in the 16th century. Water is widely used in the ritual practice of Sufis. Water is also important in spiritual searches, both as a purifying substance and as a source of life energy. The role of holy sources is exceptionally great in Sufism, people come to these holy places to purify themselves spiritually and worship holy images, both Sufis and ordinary people come there. The concept of “water” and its specific reflection in the manakibs indicates its importance in Sufism. In addition, typologically common features are found in people's attitude to water and to the sanctification of water in almost all world religions and cultures.

The topic of this article is very important and relevant today due to a rapid process of the revival of neo-paganism not only in Russia but in other countries as well. While in Western countries the problem of neo-paganism worsened sharply in the 50-60s of the twentieth century, in the Soviet Union such organizations started to appear en masse since the end of the 80s of the last century. And in 90s there were people who wrote in the genre of folk history. This study is relevant as it considers the problem of the activity of prolofic writers belonging to neo-paganism of the relatively recent past and present. This article focuses on the people who do not belong to any pagan community, even treating them negatively, but share a pagan worldview and devote many books to it. These books are very popular and can be found in most conventional bookstores. The article analyzes the genre of folk history. The biographies are described briefly with reference to scientific regalia. It is mentioned that the scientists are engaged in research which is not in their field of competence. Pseudoscientific theories about history and language are discussed in detail. In conclusion, it is emphasized that modern pagans are usually busy not reconstructing ancient beliefs and finding the lost heritage of their ancestors, but inventing illiterate hoaxes in order to create a name for themselves.

In contemporary eschatological discourses of marginal Orthodoxy, the image of China occupies one of the central places. Over the centuries, an ambivalent attitude towards China has been formed in Russian religious culture. On the one hand, China acted as a religious and geopolitical adversary, on the other, as “almost a brother in faith.” Such contradiction in assessments is typical for a mythological culture. This ambivalence remains in a modern eschatological discourse as well. In apocryphal and pseudonymous eschatological prophecies China appears as the religious and political antipode of Holy Russia. In pre-eschatological times China invasion is expected as an eschatological sign and a real threat. Numerous prophetic texts depict the horrors of China's impending military invasion of Russia, as a result of which a significant part of the territory will be under Chinese occupation. And the very beginning of the invasion is conceptualized as a sign of the beginning of the apocalyptic scenario. At the same time, the eschatological Chinese invasion is also seen as a “scourge of God”, as a punishment for sins and wickedness, as an instrument of cleansing the Russian land from abomination and vice. It is expected that as a result of the apocalyptic events, the Chinese will be converted to Orthodoxy. The eschatological hermeneutics of China's image has not been influenced by a current coronavirus infection. Perhaps this is due to both certain inertia and covid-dissident sentiments that are popular in marginal Orthodoxy.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the sociological project “Young Intelligentsia of Russia” implemented by the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Irkutsk in 1985. Attention in the work is paid to the reason for the actualization of this research in modern conditions. The reasons that forced the leadership of the USSR to organize this study are analyzed. The main objective of this project was to find out the prevalence among students of the practice of listening to foreign radio stations. The researchers paid great attention to the reasons that motivated students to this activity, which is frowned upon by the authorities of the country. The structure of interests of listeners of foreign radio stations was also revealed through their choice of appropriate headings and thematic broadcasts.

This work is devoted to the reconstruction of the socio-political views of the leader of the movement of Siberian regionalists – N.M. Yadrintsev. In the diverse ideological and political heritage of the Siberian intellectual, the problem of penitentiary policy in relation to minors is concretized. In general, based on a political and textual analysis, the publication attempts to show that the regionalist thinker considered the penitentiary policy in a completely modern way, that is, as an important component of the internal social policy of the domestic state. The authors also found that in his political journalism, the Siberian democratic regionalist did not bypass the problems of legal regulation and state policy in relation to juvenile delinquents. The publication shows that when raising the question of the validity of some laws in this area, N. M. Yadrintsev concluded that the successes and achievements of the social policy of any state are directly due to the establishment of the procedure and conditions for the policy of execution of punishment on the basis of morality and philanthropy, especially in relation to children. The authors emphasize that the principle of true humanism was generally characteristic of the political thought of the founders of regionalism. Guided by the principle of humanism and referring to the value of the social nature of man, N.M. Yadrintsev discovered numerous gaps in the penitentiary policy for juveniles in the Russian Empire.
这项工作致力于重建西伯利亚地区主义者运动领导人的社会政治观点- N.M. Yadrintsev。

The article analyzes the current state, potential benefits and opportunities for the Siberian macro-region within the framework of the concept of the formation of the space of Greater Eurasia announced by V.V. Putin in 2016. The analysis has been carried out on 4 main aspects – political-geographical, geostrategic, geo-economic, and institutional ones. The first one lies in amorphousness of the concept of Greater Eurasia. In its interpretations Siberia occupies a semi-peripheral place since the emphasis of the Greater Eurasian discourse is placed on international consolidation, primarily in the Central Asian region. In the context of integration processes one of the main obstacles is a significant differentiation of foreign policy strategies of the states forming the core of Greater Eurasia, and geopolitical interests of Siberia, which primarily consist in avoiding positioning itself as an export-resource region on the one hand, and competing for sales markets with other countries of Greater Eurasia on the other hand, which casts doubt on the consolidating role of this concept. Nevertheless, the geoeconomic role of Siberia can be improved due to the development of economic integration. The analysis of the level of redistribution and transportability of exports of the Siberian Federal District showed that it is the increased value component per unit of export weight that is observed in exports to countries with a high degree of economic integration. The fourth aspect is the lack of institutionalization of the Greater Eurasia initiative, as a result of which it cannot be effectively promoted, it is especially true about Siberian regions. Possible directions for improving this aspect have been proposed in the article.
