Dance Punawo Satay as the Treatment of Media in Society Siulakkerinci: Learn the Meanings and Functions 舞蹈普纳沃沙茶作为媒介在社会中的待遇——学习其意义和功能

This study aims to reveal and explain the meaning and function of Punawo satay dance in the treatment process, and in the treatment process always use the dance movement media in SiulakKerinci District. This research is qualitative in nature with descriptive methods, data is collected by interview techniques, which are directed at questions related to the meaning and function of dance movements of Punawo satay in traditional medicine in Siulak. In addition to interview data collected through observation observing treatment methods treatment processes using dance movementspatient and community responses to the treatment process are carried out using dance movements. The study found that dance is a dance with Punawo Satay serves as a medium to carry out a treatment process that is trusted by the community and shamans as messengers of messages to Allah, or supernatural beings.

The Impact Of Instructional Leadership And Followership Styles To The Teachers’ Performance 教学领导与追随风格对教师绩效的影响

The objectives of the research are to find out and explain, the contribution of instructional leadership to the teachers’ performance, contribution followership style to the teachers’ performance, contribution of instructional leadership and followership style to teachers’ performance in elementary school in Batahan district. This research using quantitative method with correlational approaches. The population is all the civil servant teachers in elementary school in Batahan district 110 teachers. Sample are 59 teachers by stratified proportional random sampling technique. The instrument use likert scale and the reliability 0,944. Data analysis technique is processed by using correlation and regression with help of SPSS version 20 program. Based on the analysis results can be concluded as follows: instructional leadership contributes significantly to the teachers’ performance, followership style contributes significantly to the teachers’ performance, instructional leadership and followership style contribute significantly to teachers’ performance in elementary school in Batahan district Mandailing Natal regency, North Sumatera.
本研究旨在找出并解释巴塔汉区小学教学领导对教师绩效的贡献、追随风格对教师绩效的贡献、教学领导与追随风格对教师绩效的贡献。本研究采用定量方法和相关分析方法。人口全部是公务员教师,巴塔汉区小学110名教师。样本采用分层比例随机抽样方法,共59名教师。本仪器采用李克特量表,信度为0.944。数据的分析方法是利用SPSS 20软件进行相关和回归分析。根据分析结果可以得出:教学领导对教师绩效有显著影响,追随风格对教师绩效有显著影响,教学领导和追随风格对北苏门答腊省曼德勒纳塔尔县巴塔汉区小学教师绩效有显著影响。

The Effect of Reading Strategies and Speed Reading on Students’ Reading Comprehension Skill in Higher Education 高等教育中阅读策略和快速阅读对学生阅读理解能力的影响

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of reading strategy and speed reading on students reading comprehension skill. The population were 4996 students. Further, 370 students were selected using the technique proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument of this study were a Likert scale questionnaire and reading comprehension. The data obtained have been analyzed by simple regresions and multiple regresions. The result was the effects reading strategies and speed reading on reading is and positive and significance in reading comprehensions skill.The results of this study show that (1) there is a effect contribution to the reading strategies toward reading comprehension skills by 24,2% (sig. 0,000), (2) there is a contribution of the speed reading toward reading comprehension skills by 30,7% (sig. 0,000, and (3) there is a contribution of the reading strategies and speed reading on the students' reading comprehension skills by 18,85% (sig. 0,000).

The Nuance of Meaning Synonyms of Female Greeting Nouns in Indonesian 印尼语女性问候名词词义同义词的细微差别

The purpose of this study was to explain (1) synonyms of greeting expression for women in Indonesian, (2) types of synonyms of greetings for women in Indonesian, (3) nuance meanings of synonyms for greetings for women in Indonesian. This research is a qualitative. The data of this study are the basic Indonesian nouns used in various standard writing, namelyKamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia Edisi V,Kompas.com, Padang Ekspres newspapers, textbooks, and researcher intuition. The data was analyzed qualitatively based on the analysis of the components of meaning and substitution. The results of the study are as follows. (1) All greeting nouns for women in Indonesian have a pair of synonyms. (2) Synonyms of greeting words for women in Indonesian have incomplete and not absolute types of synonyms, complete but not absolute, and incomplete but absolute. (3) Synonyms of greeting expression for women in Indonesian have nuances of meaning, both elements of cognitive and emotive meaning.

Developing Online-based Tap Course Materials 开发基于网络的Tap课程材料

The development of information and communication technologies (ICT) has changed learning system in universities, including its course materials. Offline course materials have been outdated, gradually replaced by online-based materials. As the course aiming at preparing students to become not only scientists but also entrepreneurs in the translation field, the Translation as a Profession (TAP) course materials provided to students of Translation Study Program at University of Sumatera Utara (TSP-USU) need to be developed into online-based learning materials. Such necessity is motivated by the fact that professionalism in translation should correspond to the ICT development, requiring professional translators to be literate in using ICT tools. Therefore, this paper aims at developing online-based TAP course materials. This study used a research and development employing the results of previous need analysis as the data. The results of this study are online-based materials whose topics are corresponding to the needs of the students and TAP lecturers.

Recent Technology For Translation Study 翻译研究的新技术

This article aimed to offer the recent technology which can be used for translation study. This technology which, surely, mostly provided through the internet access has the purpose to assist the translator especially translation students in finishing their translation works. Basically, the most common assistance comes from these two technology innovations: computer-assisted translation tools (CAT tools) and machine translation (MT). There are many options from this two technologies which can be utilized to ease and smoothen the translation works, such as trados, wordfast and Atril DéjàVu as the choise for CAT tools and two ranks of commercial and free machine translation as the choice for MT. This two technologies have been developt significantly by the provider. However, human intervention still helds an important influence on their quality improvement. Therefore, human translation as the user of this two recent technologies should know how to wisely used them.

Improving Students’ Ability in Conducting Autonomous Learning by Using Information Communication Technology 利用信息通信技术提高学生自主学习能力

Autonomous learning is one of essential abilities that must be acquired by students in developing countries like Indonesia. The independent learning may solve the problematic situation in English learning such as insufficient learning time, large classroom, inadequate learning facilities, insufficient competency of English teachers and others. This study explores the perceptions of students at university level in implementing the independent learning while they are using Information Computer Technology (ICT). A questionnaire has been distributed to 50 students in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. This study reveals three essential aspects such as students’ perception about the role of ICT in their English learning program. It also finds the types of material used most frequently by the students. This study also discovers certain supports that can be used to help students in utilizing ICT in their learning, such as teachers’ guidance and required skills in implementing this learning process.

Speech Act Politeness in Asking and Answering Questions in Discussion of Students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 内格里伊斯兰学校学生讨论中提问与回答的言语行为礼貌

This research was encouraged by the lack of an explanation about the language politeness of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) students in Bariang Rao-rao. This study was aimed to describe the form and strategy of politeness in speech acts in asking and answering questions in classroom discussions. The data collection method was a referral method, with advanced techniques, namely simak bebas libat cakap technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. Data were analyzed by using the following steps: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and re-checking. The results of the study showed that the speech acts in the form of asking question that frequently used were speech acts in the form of questions that asked for information about something or someone grouped according to 5W + 1H using negative politeness strategy in the context of a quiet speech situation, sensitive topics, and speaker with speech partners had similar age. Furthermore, answering speech acts that tend to be used were speech acts answering in the form of answers in providing information about something or someone grouped according to 5W + 1H using a positive politeness strategy in the context of quite speech situation, the topic was not sensitive, speaker and speech partners were the same age.

The Effect of Direct Corrective Feedback on Students’ Writing of Recount Text 直接纠错反馈对学生复述文本写作的影响

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of direct corrective feedback toward students’ writing, especially in writing recount text. This is a quasiexperimental research. The students of grade ten at MAN 3 Payakumbuh were the population of this study. The sample was chosen by using cluster random sampling technique in which there were 38 students as the subjects of this research.Direct corrective feedback was applied in experimental class and indirect corrective feedback was applied in control class. Data analysis technique was processed by using t-test. The results showed thatthe average of students’ writing score in experimental classwas 69.10and 60.18in control class. Thus, It can be concluded that direct corrective feedback gives better effect than indirect corrective feedback toward student’s writing skill.
本研究的目的是确定直接纠正反馈对学生写作的影响,特别是在写作叙述文本。这是一项准实验研究。本研究以巴雅库姆布曼中学的十年级学生为研究对象。本研究采用整群随机抽样的方法,选取38名学生作为研究对象。实验班采用直接纠正反馈,控制班采用间接纠正反馈。数据分析方法采用t检验。结果表明,实验班学生的写作平均分为69.10分,对照组学生的写作平均分为60.18分。因此,可以得出结论,直接的纠正反馈比间接的纠正反馈对学生的写作技巧有更好的效果。
