Academic supervision activities are activities of school supervisors related to the process of fostering and assisting teachers in improving the quality of learning process / guidance and quality of student learning outcomes. This article reveals a number of aspects that are portraits of the conditions or problems, especially about the implementation of academic supervision by supervisors of Vocational High School (VHS). This article also offer an alternative pattern that can be done in optimizing the function of the supervisor of the upcoming VHS. Comprehensive analysis indicates that the portrait of supervisory implementation is conducted without proper planning, recruitment of VHS school supervisor is done without proceeded by requirement analysis, and control mechanism of implementation of supervision also not running optimally. Keywords—vocational high school supervisor; supervision; control mechanism

—This study aims to produce a decent web learning product as a medium for delivering web programming courses for students at the Education and Information Technology Education study program at Engineering Faculty, Manado State University. This is a Research and Development type of research with reference to the model developed by Borg and Gall (1983). The product in the form of software was validated by one instructional material expert and one media expert each before being tested to the students. The pilot comprises four students in individual trial sessions 12 students in small group trials, and 30 students in large group field trials. Three questionnaires were used to collect data: firstly, the media expert feasibility test, secondly, the material expert feasibility test, and thirdly, the student feasibility test. Based on the results of the assessment of both material and media experts and students, it can be stated that the web learning developed was perceived as useful. Furthermore, it can be concluded that web learning which is developed effectively might improve the quality of web programming courses.

The application of self-learning in basic teaching skills at vocational program as the practice to the prospective of student teacher was conducted at Mechanical Engineering Education program Faculty of Teacher and Training Universitas Palangka Raya. The problem in the prospective student teacher in Mechanical of Engineering Education program in to the practice of basic teaching skills. Therefore, there is a need for a method to be carried out in this learning, while the purpose of this research is to apply self-learning in practicing basic teaching skills. The application of self-learning in teaching basic skills was carried out with self-evaluation, self-improvement and selfstrengthening. The self-evaluation activities were carried out by identification of his/her weakness and his/her strength itself of they do every basic teaching skills then they were do to the selfimprovement and self-strengthening. Self-learning of the prospective of student teachers through a questionnaire with the instruments have validity and reliability. They were analysed for the self-evaluation in basic teaching skills in category is very difficult and very easy with the self-evaluation forms. The do activities were carried out by practice on the basic teaching skills in the lesson Micro Teaching. The self-learning teacher’s were observed by questioner analysed using qualitative descriptive .The result showed teacher’s self-learning in basic teaching skills through description method on the lesson were "very difficult" is to attract students' attention (55,81%), clarity of the voice (53,48%), reflecting off the breadth of insight (48,84%), to attention principal of media” (54,5%), “use the assessment relevant to specific learning objectives” (65,46%), and to review of the lesson (34,88%). The use of computers in education is the first step towards realizing a technological society. Educational institutions need to optimize the potentials of information and communication technology. Integration of technological aspects into the learning is an effort to grow and to bring up interest & positive attitudes towards technical development. is one of the implementation steps of Technology Pedagogy content Knowledge (TPCK) framework. This research aims at (1) producing a multimedia for Building Construction subject on Vocational High School in the field of Building Modelling and Information Design, (2) knowing the quality of multimedia Building Construction subject in Vocational High School, in the field of Building Modelling and Information Design. This activity comprises research & development. Multimedia validation is carried out by content & media experts. Luther’s model namely multimedia development Life Cycle (MDLC) is applied in the multimedia development of Building Construction subject in the field of Building Modelling and Information Design. The models are developed through 6 stages which are concept making, designing, material collecting, assembling, model testing, and model distributing. Researchers have successfully developed a multimedia in Building Construction subject on Vocational High School in field of Building Modelling and Information Design using Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model. The results of expert validation indicate that the learning media developed is feasible to use. The next activity will be to carry out a limited trial on the students of Vocational High school in the field of Building Modelling & Information Design. The wave of world industrial and economic progress that is rolling fast have a great impact on the economic and business competition of economies in the world. Indonesia was ranked number 37 in the global competitiveness index during the period 2015-2016 with a score of 4.52 which subsequently decreased during period 2016-2017 to 4. 25 and was ranked 41 out of 138 countries. In 2017-2018, Indonesia is anticipating to be ranked the 36th out of 137 countries in the world with a score of 4.68. Graduates with relevant skills will be able to meet the demands of the world of work. Employability skills are transferable core skills and traits which are indispensable on job. Decision making is an essential employability skill. This study was aimed to examine decision making by bakery students who were trained through teaching factory at Cibadak 1 public Vocational High School and Pacet 1 public Vocational High School. The mixed method of the concurrent triangulation mix design was used. Extracted results showed that decision making improved trainee performances at both Vocational High Schools, with the highest achiever and lowest achiever being found at Cibadak 1 public Vocational High School aand Pacet 1 public Vocational High School respectively. The implementation of lesson study in improving the teachers’ performance was conducted at Junior High School I in the Katingan state. The research was carried out on the science subject with the basic competency of describing elements, compounds, and solution. The activities of the teaching lesson study consist of Plan-Do-See stages. The Plan activities were carried out by planning the learning activities done by the modelling teacher and eight observers. They are preparing the lesson plan using experiments, arranging the learning scenarios, formulating the observation sheets for the teacher’s performance using experimental method and developing the evaluation forms. The do activities were carried out by reflecting on the teacher's performance in the lesson study with the experimental method. The learning activities were observed by eight observers analyzed using qualitative descriptive. The result showed that the teacher’s performance in lesson study through experimental method on the lesson were good category of the opening the lessons, explaining the materials, explaining the experiment steps, guiding the experimental activities, guiding the group presentation evaluating the learning process. The excellent category was finding in the communicating with students and observing the students’ learning activities. Keywords—performance; lesson study; experimental method

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of technological literacy of Vocational High School students. Technology literacy is a way of thinking about how technology can become a tool that can be used as a problem-solving solution. Aspects that become the benchmark also scale of technological literacy used refer to the Standards for Technological Literacy consists of: (1) understanding of technological traits, (2) understanding of technology and society, (3) understanding of design or a design plan, (4) abilities and understanding in the world of technology, and (5) understanding and knowledge about the world of design. The results showed the level of technological literacy of Vocational High School students was 79.9% which was included in the high category. The level of technological literacy for each aspect is: (1) understanding of the technological characteristics of 79.6% including high state categories, (2) understanding of technology and society by 71.1% including in the high state category, (3) understanding of design or a model design of 79.8% is included in the high state category, (4) the abilities possessed in the world of technology are 88.6% including very high state categories, and (5) understanding of the design world is 80.6% including very high state in categories. The main challenge in the globalization era is competitiveness human resource in all sectors. An effective way to be able to compete by building the quality of human resources through improving the quality of education. Vocational School has a mission to prepare mid-level workforce that is innovative, creative, productive and ready to face global competition. BPS said, the level of open unemployment (TPT) in 2017 at 5.5% of the total working population, and SMK graduates ranked is the highest unemployment at 11.41% of the total TPT. In the point of view, SMK graduates less off competitiveness in the business/industry. The research aims to determine the readiness of vocational students, the efforts made by vocational schools and develop hypothetical models of vocational learning the global competition.
