COVID-19 has affected the learning process and learning experience of students around the world. This study was conducted with the aim to identify the barriers to the effectiveness of online learning in university education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The context of the study is a vocational college in Hanoi. Data were collected from 117 students who are taking online courses in the Spring 2022 semester. The online questionnaire link was sent to the students via their private class group by their lecturers. This study investigated certain barriers that students are facing, and at the same time proposed recommendations to limit the challenges found. The results of this study are valuable for the studied institution to improve the quality of training, and also for other educational institutions if they share the same context.

e-Portfolio design is a major application that is often used to teach project-based language learning (PBLL) towards self-regulated learning with the purpose of teaching documentation and language production. However, e-portfolio design could be the first major step in the process of documentation with the broader purpose to teach intelligent information management for e-commerce and industry applications. This paper outlines a model for understanding how different information units, and different theoretical understanding of concepts related to the semantic web, and information standardization models could help with better use of an e-portfolio and help better understand how content management systems and delivery portals work. The discussed course has used the 3D printing context as a case study.

Under the dual background of professional certification and curriculum reform at present, the concept of OBE is an advanced concept of curriculum reform and practice for teachers’ majors in higher education. The concept of OBE inspired the curriculum objectives of normal majors should be determined by graduation requirements, the curriculum content should be reconstructed by professionalism, the curriculum teaching should be designed by student-centered, and the curriculum evaluation should be changed by ability training. Based on the OBE concept, the curriculum design and exploration of mathematics education for preschool children have determined the curriculum goal of organic integration of knowledge, ability and quality, reconstructed the “Three-stage” curriculum content integrating theory and practice, constructed the mixed teaching mode of the dual mentor guidance, and formed a measurable comprehensive evaluation of growth.

Hybrid teaching has become a prevailing trend in context of widespread application of information technology in education. This empirical study aims to explore the effect of hybrid teaching mode on cultivation of students’ critical thinking by analyzing the teaching of Intensive Reading in a private college in Shanghai. Sample of the study consists of 65 juniors in English major and a combination of questionnaire and semi-structured interview is adopted to collect the data. Results indicate that most students felt satisfied with the hybrid teaching mode based on Chaoxing mobile learning; they also expressed their preference of the interactive activities in class and focused micro lectures after class, but showed uncertainty towards the effectiveness of preview assignments and post-class assessments in critical thinking. Recommendations are offered accordingly for improvement in teaching, which hopefully can serve as reference for similar courses in other colleges.

In this paper, an open-source, easy-to-use robotics platform for educational applications, focused on primary education is presented. The platform is statistically evaluated, is modular, expandable, and scalable in terms of can be equipped with new modules' development. In contrast to other commercial ones, is affordable to buy (cheap), modular, and easy to use. In addition, the initial results regarding the evaluation of its usage are presented, under the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), specifically in terms of easiness of usage. Based on the results, the proposed educational robotic platform showed a positive effect towards its usage by teachers.

Nowadays, deep learning (DL) models have been an emerging technology because of their performances and wide acceptance in various fields. However, in most cases, the performance analysis of DL models is not viable to understand how they predict because they are inherently considered black-boxes, and different models have different performance rates. Ad-ditionally, due to a lack of highly technical expertise and domain knowledge, people struggle to choose a proper model for their work. Therefore, to understand and improve the performance of the D L model, careful selection of model, layer, epoch, optimizer, hyperparameter tuning, and model visualization is essential. In this paper, we design an interactive visualization system named DeepVis with a wide range of performance evaluation methods that assist the non-expert in adopting an appropriate model. Finally, we demonstrate use cases and expert opinion using a publicly available dataset to validate the usability and effectiveness of Deep Vis.

With the continuous improvement of Internet and multimedia technology, “Internet + education” has formed a new educational ecology based on the Internet, and has also given a new and unique connotation to blending learning. The application has developed rapidly. This paper combines traditional classroom teaching with online teaching, and uses the Internet teaching platform and resources to build a student-centered, teacher-led, integrating information technology and traditional education models in theoretical and practical courses. Through the continuous improvement of teaching mode through feedback at each stage, the teaching practice of blending learning in data mining courses is discussed, so as to improve students' practical innovation ability, in-depth theoretical research interest and teamwork ability, in order to realize the teaching atmosphere of “independent exploration, cooperative learning, practical innovation, and resource sharing”.

Sleeping beauty articles refers to the articles that were not widely recognized at the beginning of publication because of its advance, so they were “sleeping”, and then were suddenly cited in large numbers, which showed as “awakened”. The study of sleeping beauty articles is of great significance to find out the development context of the discipline and promote the development of it. In this study, all the articles since the inception of Computers & Education as the research object, using the BCP nonparametric index to identify the sleeping beauty articles, and analyze the reasons for sleeping and awakening of the identified sleeping beauty articles. It is found that there are great differences in the sleeping beauty articles awakened at different stages; The development of technology is the most direct reason for sleeping beauty articles sleeping and awakening in the field of educational technology; The awakening of sleeping beauty articles is also be affected by the development of relevant teaching theories.

Auditing is an essential job within the organization. The audit is an activity that aims to assess financial accountability in realizing good governance, especially in universities. SPI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has implemented Digital Document-Based Internal Supervision using Google Drive to the audit process. The implementation of Digital Document-Based Internal Audit is in line with the directions of the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, which encourages auditors to utilize IT services in the audit process optimally. However, the use of the Google Drive as a means of internal monitoring based on digital documents is still considered to experience obstacles. It needs to design and develop an audit application to assist the implementation of audits within the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. In order to carry out this idea, the FAST framework is used as a guide in the stages of thinking. To determine the feasibility of the designed system, the System Usability Scale research instrument was used. According to System Usability Scale score the design that has been made is included in the OK category.
