Decades of active development of the natural resources of the Middle Ob region of Western Siberia have significantly changed the natural landscapes at the most large oil fields, which has affected the composition of the flora of this area. This process was especially reflected in large areas of oligotrophic bogs, the vegetation of which is a sensitive indicator of environmental disturbance. For the first time, a list of epigeic and epiphytic lichens collected on the territory of the Samotlor oil field on native oligotrophic bogs and in secondary anthropogenically modified landscapes that have originated from them is given. A total of 80 species of lichens have been registered. Epigean lichens are mainly represented by species of genus Cladonia, which, in addition to native sites, are also found in technogenically transformed habitats. Species capable of developing in oil-contaminated areas have been identified. The average period of the initial colonization of oil and salt-contaminated oligotrophic peat soils by lichens ranges from 6–7 to 12–15 years. Among epiphytic lichens, there is a spread of some species to an atypical substrate for them, which may indicate both air pollution by products of combustion of gas flares and an increase in the general dust content of the atmosphere of oil fields.

The Magadan period in life and scientific career of the remarkable botanist A.P. Khokhrjakov is described. He devoted a significant part of his creative life to this mountainous harsh, but amazing edge of our country. Botanical geography became one of the focuses among a wide range of his scientifi c interests during that period of intensive study of flora and vegetation of the vast mountainous territories of the Magadan region and neighboring territories. A deep multidimensional analysis of flora with the allocation of its geographical and genetic elements together with a thorough attention to the endemic and relict species, became an outcome of these studies. That basis allowed him to approach an understanding of the formation and development of the flora of various regions, making his original contribution to the development of botanical, geographical and floral zoning of Northeast Asia. Numerous publications by A.P. Khokhrjakov remain in demand and serve as necessary sources of information on this complex and distinctive mountain flora.

125 species and infraspecific taxa described by A.P. Khokrjakov are listed and commented. Names of 120 taxa are proved to be validly published (including 4 – as not legitimate and 3 – as replacement names), 5 – invalidly published (including Polygonum saxibetuletorum A.P. Khokhr. – published without diagnosis). For the first time it is shown that the names Astragalus hyalolepidoides A.P. Khokhr., Isatis pavlii A.P. Khokhr., Rhododendron ungeonticum A.P. Khokhr. et Mazurenko and Viola yuzufelensis A.P. Khokhr. are invalidly published. In addition, the list of 11 names labeled as new on the herbarium specimens and not published taxa is presented. For each taxon a full nomenclatural citation and barcodes of the main type specimens (holotypes, isotypes, lectotypes and isolectotypes). In cases of uncertainty in the type material status, barcodes of the original materials are given.

The composition of the aboveground phytomass of unique subalpine plant community Teberdinsky National Park – the subalpine fens – has been studied. The aboveground vascular plant biomass averaged 264±12 g/m2 , the species of Cyperaceae prevailed (41%), the role of forbs (37%) and grasses (21%) is smaller, the remaining groups of vascular plants and lichens are very rare. Bryophytes are abundant (31,2% of total aboveground phytomass). Communities have polydominant structure, the largest aboveground biomass is formed by Carex nigra (26,1%), Nardus stricta (15,8%), Cirsium simplex (13,4%), Primula auriculata (6,7%), Blysmus compressus (5,2%), Swertia iberica (5,2%). Mortmass store is relatively small (168±12 g/m2 ), which indicates a high rate of decomposition and an intensive biological cycle.

Field material for assessing the diet of grazed domestic animals was collected in the summer season of 2020 on the territory of the Black Lands (the southern part of the Caspian lowland within the borders of the Republic of Kalmykia). The research area belongs to the northern subzone of the desert zone (Zones and Zones…, 1999). Data on the composition of forage plants in the diet of jointly grazed sheep, cows and horses were obtained using the method of microhistological cuticular analysis of excrement. This method is used for the first time to assess the diet of sheep, cows and horses in the study area. 25 plant species were identified in the summer diet of grazed animals, of which 21 species were noted when describing vegetation in the key area. It was revealed that the diet of grazed domestic animal species differs in the ratio of the main forage groups of plants in it: cereals, sedges and various grasses. The share of cereals is the highest in the diet of horses (92%), and the share of various grasses prevails in the diet of sheep (35%).
