Innokenty Gizel played a prominent role in cultural and religious movements in Ukrainian lands in the middle of the 17th century. However, the life and work of this church figure, writer, philosopher and theologian remained out of the attention of researchers for a long time. The same can be said about the treatise «Peace with God to a Man», published with the blessing of Innokenty Gizel and under his editorship. The treatise «Peace with God for a Man» should be considered as an exposition of religious and moral norms inherent in Christianity. By religious morality we mean a set of concepts and principles that are conditioned by a religious worldview. Religious morality is interpreted as having a divine origin. However, its norms depend in a certain way on socio-cultural circumstances. This is what is substantiated in the treatise «Peace with God to a Man». A lot of attention is paid to the problems of good and evil, moral virtues and vices, sinfulness, as well as moral duty. Such an orientation was intended to expand the range of cultural assets that could be used by the Orthodox. As a rule, researchers consider the treatise «Peace with God to a Man» and the work of Innokenty Gizel in general in the context of Ukrainian Baroque culture. In the treatise «Peace with God for a Man», Innokenty Gizel gives a broad classification of sins as moral defects, which are interpreted from a theological point of view. In the foreground are sins of a religious or purely ecclesiastical nature. Then there are sins that concern worldly life, in particular, family relationships, the activities of people of various statuses and professions. It is worth noting that it is generally problematic to clearly distinguish the religious and secular components in the interpretation of sins in the treatise «Peace with God to a Husband». Considering religious and ecclesiastical sins, Innokenty Gisel, despite referring to the Bible and the works of the Fathers of the Church, relies on the realities of life in Ukraine at that time. When analyzing universal (common) sins, he appeals not only to his contemporary realities, but also to church tradition, and emphasizes religious aspects. Innokenty Gisel assumed that the basis of social relations is the family. In the treatise «Peace with God for a Husband» a lot of attention is paid to family sins. Giving preference to the patriarchal family, he still advocated the humane attitude of men to women, for harmonious moral relations. The treatise pays attention to children, their upbringing, instilling in them good customs and faith in God. The main social force in the treatise «Peace with God to a Man» is the Orthodox clergy. It is structured, divided into bishops and monks. The main mass is white parish clergy. Innokenty Gisel knew well the life of the Ukrainian Orthodox clergy, the violations and defects inherent in its environment. When describing the sins of spiritual persons, he relied mainly on the realities of his time. I underst

The Enlightenment philosophical concept led to the formation of the understanding that religion must serve the common good and justice in society, otherwise it cannot function freely in the public space. Protestant criticism of the biblical text largely reflects the main trends of the crisis of faith in the social environment of the Enlightenment, and they also laid the foundation for the formation of liberal theology. In the Catholic environment, such phenomena have been criticized, but over time there is an understanding of the need for an adequate reaction of the traditional Church. As an option to solve this issue, the creation of conditions for the separation of religious and non-religious spheres, which will make it possible to achieve objectivity on the part of the secular authorities with the simultaneous inclusion of the legally regulated functioning of religious organizations, which can carry out social activities in the plane of ecumenical actions, can be done. The analysis of social phenomena that gave impetus to the formation of the ecumenical movement in its current forms and manifestations is extremely significant, as it is a reading and forecasting of the further development of the ecumenical concept as a whole, which requires a detailed delineation of the impact of postmodern trends on the cultural change of society. The question of rationalization of religious beliefs, which satisfy the needs of the vast majority of the planet’s population, arises more and more often in the religious and philosophical environment, but the question of the probability of the disappearance of these beliefs or, even more, their elimination from the cultural and worldview plane of humanity, is not raised in any way.

Science in the modern sense as an experimental science was born only in the 16th century. Despite the fact that even in antiquity the process of accumulation and systematization of knowledge acquired a high level of empirical and practical status, it was far from a rational level. The science of antiquity offered solutions to specific problems, while science in its modern sense operates with theorems and axioms. With the development of science, since the 17th century, the practice of scientific communication has been formed in Europe. Scientific communication through correspondence brought together such intellectuals of the New Age as F. Bacon, G. Galileo, I. Newton, R. Descartes and many others. World science works at the global level as a network, the same “invisible college”. Between the “invisible collegium” of the 17th century and its 21st century counterpart there are many common features, they still contributed to the communication of leading intellectuals, they still function spontaneously. The theorist of communicative action J. Habermas said that his original theory should set new meanings for rationality and social architecture related to it. In conditions of social turbulence, there is a growing need for a special kind of heuristic scientist. A scientist guided by a special path of cognition to a deep understanding of the processes. His activity should be based on the already existing experience and be directed to the constructive result of cognition and action. The essence of this view of the process of cognition lies in the dualism of knowledge and understanding, for example, in the dynamic conditions of social turbulence, it is not enough just to look for the right or useful ways to solve the tasks set, it is also necessary to realize, search for meaning.

It is noted that the knowledge society is the main factor of competitiveness. For its construction, it is necessary to realize the importance of the principles of classical education, in particular its humanitarian component, continuous training, constant improvement and updating of knowledge. The «Strategy for the development of the information society in Ukraine» is analyzed, which emphasizes Ukraine’s loyalty to the chosen Western geopolitical course.

The artistic image is a complex multi-layered entity. It begins with the artist’s idea, which acts as a kind of sketch for the future image. Technical skills and mastery, the artist’s spiritual powers are aimed at realising this idea, but sometimes the idea and its realisation in the material are very far away. An artistic image is an image of the being of an artistic work, a way of thinking in art. In the aesthetic sense, the artistic image is an integral organism in which there is nothing accidental. Therefore, the artistic image is neither an object nor a thought, but a process, not completely concrete in its immersion in the sensual element. The specificity of the cognitive side of the artistic image lies in the fact that in the process of its perception there is a direct vision of truth which does not rely on evidence, there is a diffusion of the artistic and real world.

It is emphasized that the democratization of science implies the growing influence of the public on science, and hence the introduction of public-state or state-public management of the science system, the principles of its self-organization. In Ukraine, the model of structural public support has been implemented, when the subordination vertical of management presupposes the presence of public structures at each management level – public councils, which have not yet become a real force and voice of the public. The development of self-organization of scientists, including the creation of alternative, “additional” social structures is a key factor in strengthening the social component in the management of science, as well as contribute to the development of science in general.

The statement of basic materials begins with an analysis of the perception problem of the study of Christian ethics in school at the present stage. The study of the basics of Christian ethics is perceived by the authors as one of the foundations for the development of Christian culture. The study notes the historical role of Christianity for many areas of society’s culture. The features of the formation of the secularized worldview in Ukraine and its role for the modern worldview as well as the position of Christianity are pointed out. The potential opportunities for Christian Ukrainian-centric denominations and their influence on the worldview of Ukrainians are also noted; the areas and spheres of culture which will define futurological prospects of Christianity are outlined.

The concept of “religious war” is analyzed, comparative analysis of historical cases related to the relativization of religious attitudes, which were used in the political struggle and the implementation of political and ideological attitudes, was carried out. The article states the potential and prospects of religion in the context of the possibility of preventing war in connection with the peculiarity of the epistemological and axiological principles used by religion as a worldview system. The destructive influence of religious institutions that are not autonomous and perform an ideological function, as well as the need for a closer integration of the available state resources in the fight against such phenomena, is stated.
