Although various therapeutic strategies, such as inhalant beta-2 agonists, corticosteroids, anti-leukotrienes, and even novel inclusion of active biological agents in the management of asthma have been established, as asthma is a global issue and chronic in nature, the search for potential new tools to the arsenal continues to this day. Remarkable progress has recently been achieved in identifying the pathophysiology and potential value of interferons (IFNs) in managing allergic asthma. This narrative review attempts to precisely demonstrate the possible use of inhalant IFNs in differing asthmatic conditions by simplifying and concluding studies published between 1995 and 2021. Review findings indicate that IFN lambda and gamma could be utilized as primary tools in asthma management, while IFN beta can be used as an adjuvant therapy for viral-induced severe asthmatic exacerbations.

Microbiological analysis of genital secretion allows isolate and identify the microorganisms responsible for infection in the vaginal canal. The objective of this research was to isolate and identify the microorganisms that cause vaginal infection and analyze antimicrobial susceptibility. 210 samples from women with a clinical diagnosis of vaginal infection who attended the microbiology service were analyzed. Microbial analysis, Gram staining was performed, and they were seeded in specific culture media, as well as in Mueller-Hinton for sensitivity tests. 115 microorganisms were identified, 57% of the isolated correspond to bacterial species, the most frequent was Gardnerella vaginalis with 38.5%. 43% of the isolated were yeasts, the predominant species was Candida albicans with 78%. On the other hand, testing for susceptibility to various antibiotics, Gardnerella vaginalis showed 100% resistance to gentamicin and netilmicin. Ampicillin, norfloxacin and sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim showed sensitivity greater than 80%. In antifungal susceptibility tests, Candida albicans showed 100% resistance to nystatin and 90 to 100% sensitivity to fluconazole and ketoconazole, respectively. Of the isolated species, Gardnerella vaginalis and Candida albicans were the most frequent in vaginal infections; in addition, both microorganisms presented a variable susceptibility

The growing interest in herbal formulations is due to chronic illnesses, concerns about synthetic medications' safety, and the importance of natural health approaches. Herbal formulations offer a natural, affordable, and accessible therapy option with better tolerability and fewer side effects. The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate the possible anti-inflammatory and pain relief and swelling reduction properties of herbal lep powders made from Pergularia daemia, red ochre, Boswellia Serrata, camphor, Albizia lebbeck, and mango ginger. These plants were chosen for their ethnomedical applications because to their documented swelling reduction, pain relief and anti-inflammatory qualities. The different botanicals were ground into fine powders and blended in the proper ratios to create the herbal lep powders. To evaluate the powders' bulk density, flow characteristics, and particle size distribution, physicochemical characterisation was carried out. In addition, a qualitative examination of the powders' color, texture, and Odor was done. The physicochemical parameters of the prepared herbal lep powders were found to be good, suggesting their appropriateness for topical administration. The powders also exhibited favourable organoleptic properties, which increased their acceptability for application. Although this study did not include clinical or preclinical studies, its results set the stage for future investigations into the therapeutic efficacy and safety of herbal lep powders in the treatment of pain and inflammation. In general, the process of creating and assessing these herbal lep powders shows promise in the field of creating natural treatments for inflammatory ailments.

Contaminated freshwater through the enormous use of toxicants like pesticides is unsafe for consumption, affecting public health, fishing, tourism, and the environment. Pesticide toxicity is a global issue, with most poisoning occurring in developing countries. Pesticides disturbed ecological equilibrium and have an adverse effect on a variety of creatures, which has major effects on aquatic ecosystem. They have the ability to directly poison fish and other aquatic invertebrates, impairing their ability to breathe. Pesticides can enter aquatic environments through runoff from agricultural fields, posing significant risks to aquatic life. Chemicals from pesticides, such as lead or copper, contaminate water bodies, and affect fish and other non-targeted species including human health too. Because of cumulative qualities of different synthetic pesticides they circulate in ecosystems and may be accumulated by various living organisms and even migrate through food chains and alter the functioning of different organs of living organism. Fish covered a major part of worlds food supply hence it is essential to secure the health of fish. Biomarker studies can inform regulatory decisions regarding pesticide use and environmental protection. The liver, the most important organ of essential metabolic pathways, is negatively affected by toxic chemicals. Liver enzymes like ALP, ACP, AST, and ALT enzymes serve as vital biomarkers for assessing pesticide impacts on fish liver and blood. Monitoring changes in these enzyme activities can provide valuable insights into fish populations' health status and the overall environmental impact of pesticide use. A comprehensive understanding of how liver enzymes in freshwater fish can be used as biomarkers to assess pesticide impacts is needed to protect aquatic ecosystems from pesticide contamination. Changes in species composition, community organization, and diminished resilience to environmental stressors are examples of long-term ecological consequences. Integrated strategies, such as better pesticide management techniques, are needed to mitigate these effects.

Emulgels have emerged as a promising topical drug delivery system for the delivery of hydrophobic drug via skin. The objective of the study was to prepare eucalyptus emulgel. When we are preparing a emulsion individually shows stability problems during manufacturing and storage that effects on drug release pattern. In order to increase the drug stability, we incorporate it as emulgel. Emulgel is a thermodynamically stable formulation with low interfacial tension that is made by combining a surfactant and a co-surfactant and has several properties such as increased permeability and good thermodynamic stability. Emulgel has a dual control and a sustained release pattern. Emulgel improves bioavailability as well as patient compliance. This emulgel prepared as an analgesic, which satisfies all the testing parameters. The emulgel was produced in various batches of which F3 if found to be effective one.

The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2- 2), is highly contagious and has disastrous healthcare systems worldwide. Medical personnel are at a high risk of becoming infected with viruses; therefore, knowing what personal protective equipment (PPE) to use in each situation is critical. Furthermore, elective clinics and operations have been reduced to redirect the workforce to the acute specialties battling the outbreak; proper differentiation between patients who require immediate care and those who can be seen over the phone or whose treatment can be postponed is thus critical. Because Iran was one of the first and worst-affected countries, the Iranian Ministry of Health and Education has issued particular recommendations based on consensual best practices and, where available, literature. Only emergency surgical procedures are indicated, and all patients should be examined at least twice before surgery (on days 4 and 2). Procedures for positive patients should be postponed until the nasopharyngeal swab test is negative. Filtering facepiece 3 (FFP3) and/or powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) devices, goggles, full-face visor, double gloves, water-resistant gowns, and protective caps are all required if the procedure is critical to the patient's survival. It is advised that negative patients utilize at most minuscule an FFP2 mask. Drills should never be used because they enhance the aerosolization of potentially infectious mucous particles. The manipulation of the dura should be minimized due to the probable neurotropism of SARS-CoV-2. We will be able to deal with the evolving and intricate implications of this new pandemic only through generally agreed-upon protocols and coordination.
