Previous studies explained the adoption process of e-commerce was influenced by individual acceptance and used theories such as Theory of Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and others. Then, a new idea emerged; if a company wants to achieve a goal, common interests are needed. The idea is known as Stakeholder Theory. This study is based on Stakeholder Theory and performed on small and medium companies that are considered by Indonesian government as pillars of the national's economy. The stakeholders that are considered to be influential in this study are the Government, Employees, Owners, Competitors, Customers and Managers. The data analysis using Partial Least Square method showed that Competitors, Owners and Employees influence the level of e-commerce adoption in small and medium enterprises.

The customers' need promotes the innovation of products, function innovation essentially, so analyzing functions of product first and recombining them can help us design new products. Axiomatic design theory provides a method for the design of products, it makes it possible to design structure and decompose function at the same time. This paper proposes one method that improves existing products based on axiomatic design, and takes bicycle for example, verifies the feasibility of this method in detail.

Software reuse is a commonly adopted approach to improve productivity and quality of software development. However, the study of embedded software reuse, especially for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), is rare. This paper presents an empirical study on the effect of embedded software reuse of a SME. The study focused on the relationship between reuse rate against productivity, cost, quality, and time of embedded software projects over a period of three years. The result supports higher modular reuse of embedded software of a SME can improve productivity, cost and quality but not the time to market. This result provides direct evidence to management of SMEs on the benefit of improving reuse rate.

One key aspect of technology management is managing relationships with technology vendors. This paper presents a model for measuring strategic alignment between a firm and its Information Technology (IT) vendors. A survey instrument based on the model was used to measure strategic alignment between an IT department and its vendors at an American University. Overall, alignment of the IT department with its vendors was at “Established” level or healthy. The highest alignment was in the “value” area, and the model identified the “skills” area to have a major misalignment. The application of the alignment model created a rich picture of the relationship between IT and its vendors and resulted in specific recommendations for improving the strategic alignment.

New idea generation is the key factors for product conceptual design process. The obstacle for idea generation in the process is difficult to apply knowledge in different fields for designers. Computer-aided innovation systems (CAIs) which are TRIZ-base software systems with a knowledge base provide a framework for knowledge application in different fields, and are suitable for the application for the designers to generate new ideas. Product design is situational, and the situation is different from the traditional design process when the CAIs are applied. The principle of new idea generation driven by CAIs is studied and an integrated CAI-driven process model for new idea generation for product conceptual design is developed. A case study shows the application of the model.

This paper presents review of literature on global software development “G.S.D” and the use of agile methodologies in GSD. Three major themes were identified from extant literature on GSD: performance of global software development, governance related issues and software engineering process related issues. Further analysis of literature on agile methods and GSD showed that repertoire of methodologies spanning the various types of agile methods were applied related to agile methods that could be spliced or combined and tailored appropriately to produce optimal performance in the context of GSD. However, empirical studies addressing GSD-Agile fit were not found and as such require more attention in future studies.

Small, financially restricted enterprises - such as start-up companies or incubators in developing countries - usually lack resources to promote, support and manage continuous innovation. The initial innovation burst at these enterprises is usually followed by non-innovative routine activities that tend to swamp the available staff. After examining typical barriers to more frequent innovation at enterprises in Brazil - but which also seem valid worldwide, this paper presents a proposal to circumvent them through a cost-efficient, risk seeking solution. Preliminary evidence the solution works is provided in the form of simple case studies from two small companies and a technology-based company incubator in Northeastern Brazil. Conditions for the application of the solution to enterprises in other parts of the world are explored.

Building on Technology Acceptance Model, this paper aims to investigate the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and trust on behavioral intention of social commerce users. The model is empirically tested using survey data collected from 220 social commerce users. Our results show that four measures (i.e., security, situational normality, vendor familiarity, structural assurance) are the determinants of trust. Perceived ease of use is a causal antecedent to perceived usefulness. Individuals' behavioral intention to use social commerce is built through user trust. The discussion concludes by drawing research implications and new avenue for future studies.

This study aims to identify the enabling factors influencing the success of university business incubators (UBIs) with respect to internal resources, and explore the priority of these factors, using evidence from Thailand. Research questions on whether the resource-related enabling factors are applicable to Thai UBIs and how varying the relative importance of these factors. Resource-based view (RBV) was used as a grounded theory to identify enabling factors comprising the four categories: human, technological, financial, and organizational resources. Then, fourteen enabling factors were prioritized by using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (fuzzy AHP), based on Chang's extent analysis. The result leads to better strategic management and increased efficiency in the resource allocation decisions of UBIs for supporting start-up firms' development.

The entropy has been widely used to measure the confused degree of the organization, which provides the chain between the analysis and the application for the enterprise's strategy management. According to the nature of the entropy and the entropy theory, we give the business system's entropy model. Then we analyze family enterprise's political characters and entropy flow. Furthermore, the entropy flow of the family enterprise is also uncertain in different development stage. Finally, we give some management advices for a family enterprise based on the theory of entropy.
