Hanoi is the second-largest city in Vietnam, with rapid urbanization, high population density and continuously increasing people's income. However, due to climate change and urbanization, heat stress is becoming more and more serious, affecting public health. This study used the method of calculating effective temperature (ET) to evaluate the spatial and temporal variation of heat stress in Hanoi city from the period 1961 to 2020. Calculation results of the ET value showed that the ET at the hot and fairly hot level was mainly concentrated in June, July, and August. ET tends to increase markedly over time. During the period 1961 - 1997, there was almost no hot ET, but from 1998 to the present, the number of hot ET months occurs frequently in June and July. The number of hot months in the downtown area of Hanoi is much higher than in the surrounding areas. With such a trend in the future, the months of June and July will always have hot ET. The research results are useful documents for management agencies and the health sector to take specific actions to strengthen the health care system, develop infrastructure, and inform the community about the risk of heat stress.

Among the currently known bat species composition recorded from Vietnam, 12 species of Myotis distribute in the northern region: Myotis altarium, M. alticraniatus, M. annamiticus, M. annectans, M. chinensis, M. hasseltii, M. horsfieldii, M. indochinensis, M. laniger, M. montivagus, M. muricola và M. pilosus. Data on these Myotis species, particularly echolocation, is limited because almost all of them have been rarely recorded over the field surveys. Between 2020 and 2021, we conducted a series of bat surveys in northern Vietnam with an emphasis on Myotis species. Results from our studies included new data in morphology and echolocation of three species: Myotis alticraniatus, M. muricola and M. pilosus. External measurements of these species from Ha Long Bay are larger than those in previous publications. Their echolocation parameters (start frequency, end frequency, call duration) also differ from those in published descriptions. This paper provides new records of the three Myotis species from Ha Long Bay for further research, monitoring and conservation actions in the future.

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have been used to study three samples of (AlN)0.9(Si3N4)0.1 ceramic materials with density varying from 2.95 to 3.88 g.cm-3. The influence of density on microstructure, such as the change of structural units, bond lengths, the nearest common neighbors, and voids, was studied in detail. The analysis shows that these samples consist of regions of AlN and Si3N4 materials. The region of AlN material consists mostly of AlN crystals and small amount of AlN amorphous. The region of Si3N4 material has amorphous structure. Void analysis shows that there is the diffusion of Si atoms into the AlN amorphous region and conversely there is the diffusion of Al atoms into the Si3N4 amorphous region. The voids with large radius are localized in the amorphous structure region. The number of these voids decreases rapidly with the increase of density. This reduction improves significantly mechanical properties of samples.

The aim of the study was to determine the status of the creativity quotient (CQ) in 120 students of 10th grade in High school for gifted student, Hanoi National University of Education and define the association between some environmental factors and CQ. The method to determine CQ was the test for creative thinking - drawing production (TCT-DP). The results showed that 3% of the students were at A level, 15% are B level, 23% are C level, 44% are D level, 7% are E level, 6% are F level and 2% are G level. Some factors related to family characteristics that reduce the risk of low CQ and increase the posibility of high CQ were: stable occupation of parents, number of children in the family, strict mother, supportive parents when children make mistakes. Factors about children's activities that helped increase their creativity include: volunteer to be a class official, enroll in extracurricular clubs, participating in the artistic activities and enjoy artistic activities.

The genus Pareuchiloglanis (Siluriformes: Sisoridae) consists of 26 species in the world. In Vietnam, this genus has eight species, including five that are in uncertain taxonomy status. In the present study, we described one species of Pareuchiloglanis based on collections from the Da River basin in Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province. Pareuchiloglanis sp. can be distinguished from congeners by the following unique combination of characters: D. i,6; A. i,4; P1. i,14-16 (primarily i,16); C. i,6-8,6-8,i (primarily i,8,8,i); interorbital distanceeye diameter 2.4-3.4; caudal peduncle length 17.1-21.5; caudal pedunle depth 6.0-7.0% SL; length of adipose basedorsal to adipose distance averaged 1.8; head length 19.2-24.3; anal-fin origin closer to the anus than to the caudal-fin base; adipose-fin base posterior to the tip of pelvic-fin rays; the pelvic-fin insertion located opposite to the fourth dorsal fin-ray element; maxillary barbel extending just beyond base of first pectoral-fin element; and yellow patches on dorsal surface (a broader pair on the last doral-fin ray, as large as two thirds length of pelvic-fin). Morphological analysis showed that Pareuchiloglanis sp. are closed to two species in the same surveyed area, P. tamduongensis and P. songdaensis. This paper also indicated morphological differences between Pareuchiloglanis sp. and other species that have yellow patches on dorsal surface. This species record implied the potential of biodiversity of Pareuchiloglanis in the headwaters of the Red River. These findings provide worthy data for further studies on taxonomy of this genus in northern Vietnam.

The survey and sampling were conducted in Thua Thien Hue Province from May 2018 to July 2020. A total of 20 species belonging to 16 genera, 8 families, of 2 subclasses (Caenogastropoda và Heterobranchia) was recorded. Three species (Filopaludina martensi, Gabbia fuchsiana, Parafossarulus manchouricus) were first records in Thua Thien Hue area, and two species (Sulcospira dakrongensis, S. tourannensis) are endemic in Vietnam. Viviparidae is the most abundant family (6 species). Other families have 1 to 3 species. The number of species is highest in ponds habitats, and lowest in streams habitats. The similarity index reached high value in three pairs of habitats including: ponds and rivers (SI = 0.77); fields and rivers (SI = 0.75); ponds and fields (SI = 0.72). Rarefaction curves revealed that the expected number of species in ponds and rivers habitats was richer than that in fields and streams habitats.
