Soil Copper Distribution in Tongling Mine Tailing Dam, China 铜陵尾矿坝土壤铜的分布

The copper mine tailing dam in Tongling city has highly potential environment risk. To recognize the underground distribution of Cu in the mine tailing dam, nine profiles were excavated and surveyed in the central area of the deserted copper tailing dam. Soil samples from different layers of each profile were collected separately. The copper content in the tailing dam exceeded the toxic threshold of plants much, indicating high potential risk to local environment. The Copper of total and available contents both had the high heterogeneity in the horizontal direction. In the vertical direction, the total and available form of Cu displayed an opposite trend. The copper in the surface soil was easier to resolve, transport and transform than that in the subsoil.

Effect of Hydrocortisone on Liver Mitochondria Proteome of Rats 氢化可的松对大鼠肝脏线粒体蛋白质组的影响

Every liver mitochondria protein sample from the normal rats and rats infected with hydrocortisone was labeled with Cy3 or Cy5 randomly. Each Cy3-labeled sample and Cy5-labeled sample were mixed on the same 2-D gel along with a Cy2-labeled mixture of all samples as an internal standard. The gels were respectively imaged by Typhoon 9400 using different emission filter and spot-features were analyzed by DeCyder5.0 software in each paired normal/disease comparison. 11 different expression proteins were selected, in which 7 proteins were successfully identified. In their proteins, the expression of Glucose regulated protein (grp75), heat shock protein 60, carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase 1, ATP synthetase, sarcosine dehydrogenase, chaperone protein, dimethylglycine dehydrogenase increased while the expression of adenylate kinas4 decreased. These result showed that the metabolism of substance was affected by hydrocortisone. The expression of heat shock protein and Glucose regulated protein increased, which contributed to protect the cell from damage. The metabolism of protein increased and the energy metabolism was alleviated to increase the output of ATP. However, the stability of energy metabolism and the ability of self-regulation were disturbed when the rats were injected with hydrocortisone.

The Effect of Fibrillation Earthworm on Sludge Treatment in the Activated Sludge System 纤颤蚯蚓对活性污泥系统污泥处理的影响

The effect of fibrillation earthworm feeding on degradation of dissolved substances has been studied by the intermittent test. As the earthworm density changes, the conversion of certain substances in the activated sludge system, including the sludge activity, ammonia nitrogen and COD treatment effect has been investigated. From the perspective of predation, it may reduce the removal efficiency of system for NH4+-N when insect fibrillation earthworm body present in the reactor because of the feeding effect on nitrifying bacteria. The results show that there is some impact on the degradation rate of ammonia degradation for the presence of fibrillation earthworm, but little for the removal effect of final ammonia and COD, especially the final ammonia. And by measuring the value of OUR, the right flutter earthworm density will play an active role in bacteria in the activated sludge system.

Determination of Platinum Group Elements in Human Urine and Hair Samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry 电感耦合等离子体质谱法测定人尿和头发样品中的铂族元素

An analysis method for the determination of platinum group elements (PGEs) in human hair and urine samples by microwave digestion and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was developed. The microwave degestion conditions for different samples were studied in detail. Under the optimal conditions, the detection limits of Pt, Pd and Rh in hair samples were 0.02 ng/g, 0.05 ng/g and 0.002 ng/g, respectively. The recoveries of Pt, Pd and Rh for human hair and urine samples were above 81.7%. The method was applied for determination of PGEs in unrine and hair samples of people with and without car driving experince. The results showed that the concentration of PGEs in human hair was Pd>; Pt>; Rh and increased as the car driving time. However, the concentrations of PGEs in the urine samples were in the extreme low levels and under the detection limits except one sample of a bus driver with 11 years driving time, 0.72ng.g-1 of Pd was found in this case.

Analysis of Sonoporation on Cell Membrane by Scanning Electron Microscopy 扫描电镜对细胞膜声穿孔的分析

Sonoporation is an important drug/gene delivery technology in drug/gene targeting therapy. In this article, the fibroblast cell and red blood cell suspensions were added contrast agent micro bubbles and sonicated by continues low-intensity ultrasound, and then the pores on cell membrane were detected by scanning electron microscopy. It was found that the sonoporation on cell membrane was positive correlation with the ultrasound exposure power and ultrasound exposure time. And it was found that the sonoporation was related with cell membrane elastic characteristics. It provided experiment basement for the qualitative and quantitative research on sonoporation.

Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) has been an useful method for microscopic analysis of biological molecule, due to its good directionality, the high scattering intensity and the low background noise. In this paper, we review the development of coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopic imaging in the recent years, introduce the application of CARS technology in microscopic imaging theory as well as the suppression of non-resonant background noise in CARS microscopic imaging technology, and show some typical CARS microscopic imaging systems, advantages and fields of CARS microscopic imaging technique are also conclude at the same time.

Molecular Mechanisms of Two-Component System GacS/GacA in Plant-Pathogenic Bacteria 双组分体系GacS/GacA在植物致病菌中的分子机制

GacS/GacA global two-component regulatory systems are comprised of a membrane-bound environmental sensor, GacS, and a transcriptional response regulator, GacA. GacS/ GacA homologs have since been identified in some plant pathogenic bacterial. A current model proposes that GacS senses a still-unknown signal and activates, via a phosphorelay mechanism, the GacA transcription regulator, which in turn triggers the expression of target genes. Certain genes whose expression is regulated by the GacS/GacA system are regulated in parallel by the small RNA binding protein RsmA (CsrA) at a posttranscriptional level. It is suggested that the GacS/GacA system operates a switch between primary and secondary metabolism, with a major involvement of posttranscriptional control mechanisms.

GacS/ GacA homologs have since been identified in some plant pathogenic bacterial. A current model proposes that GacS senses a still-unknown signal and activates, via a phosphorelay mechanism, the GacA transcription regulator, which in turn triggers the expression of target genes. Certain genes whose expression is regulated by the GacS/GacA system are regulated in parallel by the small RNA binding protein RsmA (CsrA) at a posttranscriptional level. Locating Optimal Electrodes Placement via Microelectrode Recording in General Anesthetic Patients During Deep Brain Stimulation 通过微电极记录在全身麻醉患者脑深部刺激过程中定位最佳电极位置

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is one of promising therapy to treat advanced Parkinson's disease. During DBS operation, general anesthetic induction has been shown an alternative procedure to avoid patient's discomfort under local anesthesia. Meanwhile, microelectrode recording (MER) is a guide of optimal placement in the brain. However, the inhibition of power of neural spiking is assumed by the general anesthesia during the process. Therefore, we use median nerve stimulation (MNS) to enhance them. At the same time, the power of background noise is also enhanced. Then, it makes MER be poor to determine the optimal electrode placement. In this study, we present a methodology including spike detection, fast Fourier transformation and power spectrum analysis for analyzing MER. Through these results, MER data can be successfully utilized for tracking dorsolateral sub thalamic nucleus (STN) to ensure optimal electrode location.

The main psychoactive constituent of marijuana, delta-9-trans-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-trans-THC), first elucidated about 40 years ago by Gaoni and Mechoulam, has been shown to possess versatility physiological functions including nervous system bioactivities, immune modulation bioactivities, anticancer bioactivities and so on. This review summarized the total synthesis and biological activities of Δ9-trans-THC.
